Submissions Open for 2026 Awards for Architectural Distinction

ATLANTA – June 29, 2026 – Submissions for the 2026 AIA Atlanta Awards for Architectural Distinction (AAD), an annual celebration of excellence in built work designed by Georgia architects, are open from June 29 to August 31.

This year’s program features 18 categories across four design fields: Commercial, Hospitality, Institutional, and Residential. AAD welcomes projects from anywhere in the world.

The program continues to grow, expanding last year from residential and hospitality projects to recognize the growing scope and impact of Georgia architects.

AIA Atlanta will announce the winners during its Build Something Great gala on Saturday, November 14, at Buckhead Theatre. The yearly occasion is open to members and the public, bringing together design enthusiasts to recognize the people shaping the profession.
