ARE Study Series: Project Development & Design

Led by Kristen E. Locke, AIA, available online or in-person at the AIA Atlanta office.

During this session, attendees will discuss and solve Project Development & Documentation (PDD) exam questions. They will also review common challenges and other vital topics, including mechanical systems, environmental Concepts, vertical transportation systems, the FEMA 454 Designing for Earthquakes manual, and more.

PDD focuses on the integration and documentation of building systems, material selection, and material assemblies into a project. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of and abilities in integration of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty systems into overall project design and documentation (ncarb.org).
