AIA Atlanta’s ARE® Study Sessions continue with an exploration of building codes through the lens of the Project Planning & Design (PPD) and Project Development & Documentation (PDD) divisions.
This interactive meetup will break down key code concepts commonly found on the ARE, walking participants through sample exam-style questions and practical applications relevant to real-world practice.
Led by Martha Henderson-Bennett, principal and technical director at PRAXIS3, the session will provide insight into how building codes influence project planning, technical coordination, and construction documentation. Drawing from her extensive experience leading QA/QC processes, providing technical guidance, and developing in-house technical education programs, Martha will help attendees better understand how to approach code-related challenges both on the ARE and in professional practice.
Whether you are actively preparing for the ARE or looking to strengthen your understanding of code application within architectural projects, this session offers a practical and engaging opportunity to build confidence in one of the profession’s most critical technical areas.
