Join AIA Atlanta for a discussion with April Stammel from South Downtown Atlanta and Alexandra Kirk from Jamestown, who provide updates on two major projects in the city. Architect-turned-developer Lucas Roberts will moderate the conversation and cover insights into project ideation, the development process, and benchmarks for project success.
August’s Architects Roundtable will be an excellent opportunity to learn about development as an architect or designer, network, and enjoy a delicious breakfast.
Learning objectives
- Learn how local Atlanta developers begin the engagement process with architects and consultants as they conceive a project, including market studies, land acquisition, and equity procurement.
- Understand the hidden pieces of the development process that take place outside of the architectural realm and the liabilities incurred by developers.
- Reveal what benchmarks are necessary from a developer’s perspective to understand what determines a successful project.
- Understand how developers use collateral and letters of interest to secure funding or financing, including what financial institutions require before financing a project.
Parking
AIA Atlanta provides up to two (2) hours of validated parking upon check-in. The garage is attached to the building.
