From emerging professionals to firm leaders, this conversation will equip designers and AEC industry professionals with practical knowledge to navigate renewals, continuing education, and the statewide framework that governs their work.

• Understand the various functions the Georgia Secretary of State’s office provides which include overseeing elections and voting, tracking annual corporate filings, granting of professional licenses and overseeing the state’s securities market.
• Learn how the Professional Licensing Boards Division of the Secretary of State’s office provides administrative support to the 42 licensing boards housed within the agency. The Architects and Interior Designers Board is one of those 42 boards.
• Discuss the available resources the Secretary of State’s office provides to individual architects, this includes the license renewal process and the process to renew licenses that have expired.
• Review a Georgia architect’s continuing education requirements. Understand how those requirements are established, maintained, submitted for review and approved.
