Jahnee Prince
Commissioner of City Planning
Bio
City of AtlantaJahnee PrinceJahnee Prince brings over 25 years of experience in urban planning, land use, and community development. Since joining Mayor Andre Dickens’ cabinet in 2022, she has championed affordable housing, streamlined city services, and policies that promote walkable, economically vibrant neighborhoods. Her leadership has advanced major initiatives including the City’s Comprehensive Development Plan, permitting reforms, and the adoption of Atlanta’s LGBTQ+ Historic Context Statement. Prince also played a key role in the redevelopment of the former Chattahoochee Brick Company site and in strengthening the Neighborhood Planning Unit system. Before joining the City, she served as Deputy Director of DeKalb County’s Department of Planning and Sustainability and spent eight years as a national city planning consultant.
