SDA NationalStephanie KirschnerStephanie’s began her A/E industry journey as an office manager in a small landscape architecture firm, where she learned the ins and outs of the industry from the ground up. Through lots of effort and on-the-job learning, she become a staff accountant at McGill Smith Punshon, Inc., a Cincinnati-based multi-discipline design firm with over 100 employees. Stephanie quickly rose through the ranks, eventually being named a partner and Vice President of Finance and Administration in 1997.
In 2012, Stephanie took her wealth of knowledge and experience and founded SLK Management Solutions, providing invaluable support to small A/E firms in areas such as human resources, accounting, banking, risk management, and corporate administration. She believes that firms can best succeed by leveraging their administrative team in all areas of the business and let the designers do what they love to do—design.
In addition to her consulting work, Stephanie serves as the National Executive Director for the Society for Design Administration, a role in which she continues to share her expertise and help others succeed. She also serves as the Executive Director for Canstruction® International, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger through the power of creativity and design.
