Designing resilient structures starts with a strong understanding of materials and building science. This course explores the composition, performance, and application of engineered polymer siding and trim, as well as capped polymer cladding, and considers how thoughtful material selection can support both resilience and sustainability.

AZEK will examine the connection between building resilience and occupant safety, focusing on material selection and design considerations that help a structure withstand destructive weather events while maintaining safe, livable conditions.

Participants will gain a practical understanding of how engineered polymer siding, trim, and capped polymer cladding perform and where they can be applied. The course will also explore the benefits these materials can offer home and building owners, particularly when resilience, durability, sustainability, and long-term performance are key project considerations.
