ATLANTA, July 26, 2019–Pond, an industry leader in architecture, engineering, construction, and planning, is excited to announce that Mark Levine, FAIA, Vice President of Architecture, has been elected to serve as At-large Director on the American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Board of Directors. Mark brings over 30 years of AIA leadership to the role, and recently completed a 3-year term as Regional Director to AIA’s National Strategic Council.

“I’m honored to have this vote of confidence from my colleagues throughout the country and look forward to continuing to serve our 94,000+ members. A big focus of my AIA service throughout the years has been Outreach. Following suit, my campaign platform included a pledge to ‘communicate with purpose’ – to both our members and to the public, as we work to increase the relevance and value of our profession in our communities.”

In addition to serving on the Strategic Council, Mark served as president of AIA GA in 2014 and was a Director on the AIA GA Board for 8 years.  He also led the Steering Committee for the 2015 AIA National Convention in Atlanta. Prior to moving to GA, Mark also served as president for both the AIA Grand Valley (MI) and Albuquerque chapters.  Levine was elevated to Fellow in the Institute in 2017.
